Advanced Development Chemical Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Learn buildings, equipment, processes, and chemistry in area to build expertise
• Drive projects to completion with sense of urgency and develop control plans to ensure project gains are maintained
• Use statistical design and analysis of data where appropriate
• Contribute and champion ideas for development projects
• Study assigned process(es) to identify opportunities for improvement
• Modify existing processes to increase capacity, decrease operating costs, and / or improve quality
• Participate on cross-functional teams to assist meeting manufacturing and business goals
• Write clear, concise technical reports and complete in a timely fashion.
• Evaluate outside or competitor technology and products as needed
• Work with R&D in study of new equipment, product, or process
• Maintain an awareness of and provide technical support to current production problems
• Provide technical support to project teams and Process Hazard Analysis as needed
• Assist in solving operational problems
• Maintain the effective flow of information between plants
• Participate in team meetings (production planning meetings, customer complaint meetings, etc.)
• Support plant startups, and share best practices among the sites
