To ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of facility systems, utilities, and equipment while upholding safety, compliance, and sustainability standards. The role also involves providing engineering expertise, supporting multiple sites when required, and leading reliability and maintenance strategies. Key Responsibilities :
Oversee daily facility operations, including building services, utilities, and equipment. Provide engineering and technical support to discipline engineers and the maintenance team on all mechanical engineering issues. Maintain the required levels of design integrity, reliability, and performance of equipment, systems, and services in line with engineering specifications, codes, and best practices. Manage the development and delivery of both minor and major projects. Lead the development and implementation of the site’s mid- to long- term reliability strategy. Develop, implement, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans for facility equipment. Troubleshoot facility-related issues (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.) and recommend engineering control measures to resolve problems. Draft and update utilities layouts as required. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of facility equipment, including but not limited to : Air Handling Units (AHUs), Air Conditioners, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Vacuum Systems, Ring Blowers, Scrubbers. Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. Support workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO, local authority). Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and facility logbooks. Monitor and provide assistance to other sites that require facilities engineering support. Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related field (required). Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering Management, or Energy / Sustainability (preferred). Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, building services, and infrastructure maintenance. Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety standards in facilities operations. Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), LEED, or PMP are an advantage. Proven ability to manage maintenance programs, energy efficiency projects, and contractor / vendor relationships.
