Role Description
This is a regional sales and business development position with base salary and variable annual commission plan.
Base location is in Penang and / or any major city with good transportation connectivity to address the rapidly growing semiconductor and electronics assembly industry within Malaysia. The RSM will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities, developing and implementing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and achieving bookings and sales targets within the assigned region.
This include managing channel partner / distributors within the assigned region. This position reports directly to General Manager, SEA Global Equipment Solution (GES) sales. Require close collaboration with Delta's global key account team on large account penetration, Delta's IABG for the rest of local and global electronics and semiconductor target account development.
Requires at least 10-15 years of solid sales / business development experience selling capital equipment and / or complex system integration solution to the semiconductor and / or electronics assembly market segment.
80% hunting, 20% key account to be spent on weekly basis.
Demonstrated ability to work cross function and cross region with excellent interpersonal and communication skill.
Global key accounts experience managing large semi / electronics manufacturer with multi sites presence and complex decision making matrix.
General region of coverage is SEA, specific countries of coverage depending on candidates' past experience. Base location in Penang, Malaysia.
Demonstrated leadership capability in managing channel partners and distributors providing them clear direction and guidance on identifying target customers, target applications that will yield the right solutions - application needs matching.
LinkedIn savvy, no fear in executing cold calling approach and ability to handle all layers of customers' organisation from working level to C suit executives.
Candidates with direct experience in pick and place, die attach, flip chip, SMT, assembly custom automation is a great fit but not mandatory.
BSc in mechanical or electrical engineering as highest level of education is preferred but not mandatory.
