Operator (Roll-forming / Bending)

Responsibilities

Set up and operate bending and roll-forming machines by selecting appropriate tooling, setting up correct parameters and ensuring proper alignment of parts to roll-form or bend. Perform roll-forming and bending related tasks as per planning requirements to ensure on time delivery (OTD) to customers. Ensure quality and accuracy of bend parts. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the machines. Follow safety protocols in factory to ensure personal and surrounding people’s safety. Check job priority and run job based on priority list given by planners and line leaders. Prepare necessary documents prior to production (e.g. engineering drawing, quality control checklist and Manufacturing order). Inspect finished parts for defects and adjust as needed to ensure quality standards are met. Use proper tools like Vernier calipers, measuring taps and micrometers to ensure accuracy and precision. Report completed job into system and ensure put away cards are placed on finished goods prior to transfer to next work station.
