Product Development Executive – The role involves assisting in the development and management of new and existing products, driving innovation, ensuring product quality, and bringing products to market that meet consumer demands.
Responsibilities
- Manage and assist the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to commercialization.
- Assist in the execution of the product development strategy, which includes defining product goals, target markets, and timelines.
- Facilitate the development of new product formulations and sourcing of necessary materials, components, and packaging with Supply Chain and Suppliers for product development.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing and innovation strategies and provide insights and recommendations to enhance the Company’s product portfolio.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor products.
- Conduct product trials and stability tests to ensure compliance with quality standards; and evaluate the feasibility of new product ideas from technical and commercial perspectives.
- Assist in conducting cost analysis for new products to ensure they meet budgetary constraints while maintaining quality and profitability.
- Work with the design house to ensure designers meet the provided design brief, and that the final design outcome aligns with the approved design.
- Assist in the essential product testing and quality control processes to ensure the product aligns with the product specifications / requirements.
- Ensure that new products adhere to all relevant regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to generate new product ideas and concepts based on market insights.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Food Science, Chemistry, Cosmetic, or related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in product development or project management within the cosmetics or skincare industry (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.Excellent communication skills.Ability to work independently with a clear understanding of desired direction and priorities based on the organization’s vision and strategy.People‑oriented, collaborative, and result‑driven.Preferred : interest in marketing within beauty, skincare, personal care, or similar industries.Seniority level : Executive
