Business Analyst (IAM / AI)

Overview

Contract : 12 months (highly renewable). Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Position : Business Analyst (IAM / AI) to join our client’s digital transformation programme. The successful candidate will bridge business requirements with technical solutions in Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Artificial Intelligence (AI / ML). This role requires strong domain expertise, regulatory awareness, and the ability to engage stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on IAM, AI security controls, and regulatory alignment in regional / global projects.
• Lead business requirements gathering workshops to translate objectives into functional and technical specifications.
• Analyze, design, and validate IAM controls and governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. GDPR, MAS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2).
• Support AI / ML platform integration initiatives, focusing on secure data access patterns and responsible use of AI tools (e.g. Copilot).
• Collaborate with solution architects and engineers on IAM tool implementation (e.g. SailPoint, Entra ID, OneVault, HashiCorp Vault).
• Define and document authentication and authorisation requirements leveraging protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, JWT, OIDC.
• Support design and review of API security principles and integration requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, compliance, and technology to ensure successful delivery and adoption of IAM and AI solutions.
• Conduct impact analysis, risk assessments, and support UAT / validation activities.
