As a Business Director, you'll have responsibility for running a high-profile multinational brand (s), with services scope focused on communications planning and media campaign implementation management. There is frequent high-level client contact, and you'll be the face of OMD to number of clients, based in Kuala Lumpur. You will lead the client relationship, while also being responsible for maintaining the quality of contracted services, lobbying additional assignments as well as developing appetite for and building revenues from out-of-scope offerings and value add services. This person will also oversee and give guidance to the current account team and work closely with the General Manager and Managing Director on developing the business. They will also be responsible for revenue management and inspiring greatness in the quality of the output of other team members. Success Measure : In three months, you would have : Good comprehension of client portfolio end ensure that client servicing needs are met. Created relationships with key clients Demonstrated to direct reports (Associate Directors, Managers, Planners) the capability and know-how to guide them and to add value to what they do on a day-to-day basis Good grasp of the planning tools and framework In six months, you would have : Develop strategic recommendation; independently manage business end-to-end both locally and globally when required Set your own agenda and roadmap for growth of the business Ensured that each member of the team is has successfully followed up on their professional growth plan In 12 months, you would have : Optimized the team structure as required Be described as our clients’ lead business partner across key accounts Met revenue and client satisfaction targets Maximize all business opportunities by organically growing existing client revenue through out of scope work or new projects Actively participate in new business pitches and drive opportunities Participated and won in local and international awards Responsibilities of the Role : Account Management and Strategy Be a client visionary, by bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business, issues and opportunities Entrenching senior client relationships that position OMD as a principle business partner of the Client Play a key role (if not lead role) in new business pitches and drive opportunities Drive strategy creative solutions, from pitch to delivery to execution and ensuring highest quality standards are met Play a key role in presenting strategy and concepts to clients Consistently set, evaluate, update, and deliver client KPIs To receive client feedback and ensure concerns are addressed in time professionally. Keep abreast and constantly update on the latest development in industry, consumer trends Ensure close monitoring of changes in Clients and competitors’ category / industry; constantly update Clients and suggest solutions People Manage direct reports and ensure account teams meet all timelines & budgets set Ensure that the planning tools, framework systems and strategy are rigorously applied in our proposals to clients Play a key role in resource planning and ensure teams are resourced based on approved headcounts Coaching team members to build confidence, excellence, and job training To be accountable for profitability of each Client account assigned and flagging of matters that involve financial risks and solutions to manage these situations Maximize all business opportunities by organically growing existing client revenue through Out of Scope work or new projects Ensure teams follow all processes set by Omnicom be it implementation & buying process, trading procedures and negotiations Oversee budget management of all client budgets Weekly financial reporting Awards Winning mindset - develop, execute, document and craft award winning campaigns for local, regional, and global Client campaigns Ensure teams produce award winning solutions for all clients all the time by following the set structure Willing to roll up the sleeves and working hands on in delivering the tasks where necessary.
