JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to lead our global procurement function. This role is responsible for the entire procure-to-pay lifecycle, including developing global sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing a network of international suppliers. The manager will oversee the procurement budget, implement cost‑saving initiatives, and ensure demand forecasting prevents shortages. The position requires strong leadership to mentor the procurement team and close collaboration with key stakeholders to align all activities with business goals and industry best practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Sourcing & Planning : Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for all procurement activities across the organization, including but not limited to equipment, AV, merchandise, etc. Identify and evaluate suppliers to meet our tournament needs.
- Contract Negotiation : Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors and service providers, securing favorable deals and long‑term agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Supplier & Vendor Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with our international suppliers. Monitor their performance, quality and resolve any supply issues to guarantee timely delivery.
- Budget & Cost Control : Manage the procurement budget and track all purchasing spend. Implement cost‑saving initiatives (e.g., bulk purchasing, strategic negotiations) and use key metrics (KPIs) to optimize costs without sacrificing quality.
- Procure‑to‑Pay Process : Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from issuing RFPs / RFQs and running competitive bidding to finalizing purchase orders and coordinating with our finance team for timely payments.
- Demand Forecasting : Forecast and plan inventory needs for all related activities (tables, chips, branded goods, etc.) to prevent shortages and ensure all supplies arrive exactly when needed.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration : Work closely with the COO, event operations, finance and all relevant teams to align procurement with all schedules and budgets. Provide regular reports and analyses to inform strategic decisions.
- Process & Governance : Drive efficiency, transparency, and compliance by standardizing procurement policies and workflows (including technology implementation – e.g., procurement software, dashboards, AI‑enabled tools) and mitigating risk through detailed supplier audits and adherence to all relevant laws and best practices.
- Team Leadership : Provide direction and mentorship to the procurement team (currently one manager, with plans to grow). You will set goals, streamline workflows, and foster a high‑performance culture in our lean, entrepreneurial environment.
