Executive or Senior Executive Group Procurement
Manage the Group Procurement Department by administering and dealing with related functions and other procurement-related matters.
Be the custodian of Procurement Policies & Procedures (PPP) Manual and conduct periodic updates of the manual.
Develop, review and implement policies and procedures for Group Procurement.
Perform and execute necessary standardized systems for the Group. For instance, vendor registration, standard tenders and contact, “umbrella” contacts, etc.
Use SAP system, participating in the development of procurement processes and materials management.
Assist Minor and Major Tender Boards and act as the negotiator for any procurement tenders as authorised by the Tender Board.
Be the person in charge for the Tender Box.
Carry out periodical visits to power sites to review and audit procurement processes in line with the approved Procurement Policies and Procedures.
Review, recommend and carry out vendor assessment as required per procedures.
Act as the liaison between local company and shareholder in China, preferably Mandarin speaking and writing candidate.
Company Overview
Edra Power Holdings Sdn Bhd (“Edra”) owns and operates 8 power plants in Malaysia, Egypt and Bangladesh. It also has investments in a power asset in Pakistan, as well as a power and desalination asset in the United Arab Emirates.
Edra is the second largest independent power producer (IPP) in Malaysia, with a total generating capacity of 5,087 MW and effective capacity of 4,568.3 MW from its 5 power plants, which consist of 3 combined cycle gas turbine plants (one with co‑generation facilities), one coal‑fired sub‑critical thermal power plant and one large‑scale solar photovoltaic plant.
In Egypt, the Group owns and operates one 682.5 MW gas‑fired conventional thermal power.
In Bangladesh, the Group owns and operates two CCGT power plants, with a total generating capacity of 810 MW and effective capacity of 445.5 MW.
The Group has an investment in a 157 MW combined cycle gas‑fired baseload power station located in Pakistan. Its effective capacity is 36 MW.
Edra is also part of a consortium that owns and operates the Taweelah B IWPP, the largest independent water and power project in the UAE. The Group has a 10.0% effective interest in the Taweelah B IWPP, which has a total power generation and desalination capacity of 2,000 MW and 160 MIGD.
The Group’s revenues are mainly derived from the available capacity and electrical energy produced by its power plants to the off‑taker under their respective Power Purchase Agreements (“PPAs”).
Tenaga Nasional Berhad is our sole off‑taker in Malaysia, while Egyptian Electricity Holding Company and Bangladesh Power Development Board are our sole off‑takers in Egypt and Bangladesh respectively. These off‑takers are either government or government‑linked entities. Our PPAs in Egypt and Bangladesh are guaranteed by the Central Bank of Egypt and Government of Bangladesh respectively, with the substantial majority of payments either denominated in, or indexed to, the USD.
