Finance Manager (6-Month Contract, Extendable for Another 6 Months) - Leading Insurer | Malaysia

Employment Type : Contract (6 months, extendable for another 6 months)

Industry : Insurance / Financial Services / Shared Services

Budget : Up to MYR 18,000 per month , depending on experience

Start Date : Immediate to December starters preferred

Key Responsibilities

Manage financial reporting , ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes for business units.

Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Coordinate internal and external audits , liaising with auditors and Group Finance.

Support tax and regulatory compliance requirements as needed.

Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or CIMA) preferred.

Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in accounting, reporting, or finance management within shared services, MNC, or insurance / financial services environment.

Proficient in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems , with working knowledge of Power BI or reporting tools.

Strong understanding of budgeting, variance analysis, and statutory accounting .

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Available to start on short notice or within the month.
