NPI Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from initial concept and design through to full production hand-over, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality specifications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality assurance, and material teams to ensure smooth and efficient product launches.
• DFM / DFA : Coordinate Design for Manufacturability and Design for Assembly reviews to ensure the product can be efficiently and cost-effectively produced.
• Process Development : Develop and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and test procedures. Coordinate and oversee pilot builds, analyse the results, and perform process validation to ensure stability and repeatability.
• Work with the material planner to ensure component readiness, manage quality and supply, and facilitate the purchase of tooling.
• Identify and mitigate production risks early in the development cycle by performing risk analyses and developing mitigation plans.
• Documentation : Create and maintain all necessary documentation, including process documentation, quality reports, and technical reports.
• Tooling & Equipment : Support the selection and validation of tooling and equipment required for the manufacturing process.
