Plant Manager

Job descriptionBuild a high-performance culture with focus on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with company HR policies, disciplinary procedures and worker relations where applicable. 3. Quality, Safety & Compliance Drive safety programs and enforce EHS standards to achieve zero-incident culture. Work closely with QA / QC to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction. Optimize plant efficiency by reducing conversion costs and improving productivity. Implement lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to eliminate waste and improve workflows. Identify opportunities for automation, technology adoption and process enhancements. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with Business Development and Customer Service to ensure operational feasibility of customer requirements. Collaborate with Finance on budget control, cost analysis and capex justification. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Chemical / Industrial Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 10 years’ experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in FMCG, cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry. Proven track record in managing mid-sized plants (100–300 headcount). Strong knowledge of GMP, Halal, ISO and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in production planning, lean manufacturing and cost control. Strong communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin (an advantage). What’s your expected monthly basic salary? Which of the following types of qualifications do you have? Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant functions including Production, Maintenance, Warehouse and Logistics.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer orders, cost targets and delivery timelines.
- Set and monitor KPIs such as OEE, conversion costs, yields, wastage and inventory turnover.
- 2. People & Team Management
Supervise, train, and develop departmental managers, supervisors and staff (~160 employees).
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements e.g. GMP, Halal, ISO and others.
Partner with R&D on scale-up of new formulations and technical transfers.
