Campbell Malaysia is the Regional Hub for The Arnott’s Group Asia Business Unit. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the organization leads the strategy & direction to ensure that The Arnott’s Group has a geographical footprint across Total Asia.
Campbell Malaysia also supports the region by supplying locally manufactured and marketed brands such as Campbell’s soup, Prego pasta sauces as well as Kimball & Cheong Chan sauces. Asia’s extended range of consumer food brands also include TST, Swanson, GoodTime & Nyam Nyam.
Position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Responsibility
(a) Process Control, Validation & Technical Leadership
- Lead all process validation and verification testing (e.g., CCPs, CPs, sanitation) to ensure global regulatory and internal compliance standards are met.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for troubleshooting complex quality or process issues and ensure food safety and quality requirements are integrated into all operational projects.
- Plan and execute specialized process capability studies (e.g., Thermal Distribution tests) and present findings to the Process Authority for approval and documentation.
- Manage and investigate all significant Process Deviations, implementing immediate containment actions and preparing mandatory reports to safeguard product safety.
- Perform necessary product adjustments and operational calculations on the line to maintain final product specifications.
(b) Production Line Quality Assurance & Compliance Management
Lead and conduct regular GMP, GLP, and HACCP compliance audits to identify and close systematic gaps.Represent QA in cross-functional line reviews, influencing operational accountability for quality performance.Manage the entire lifecycle of finished product disposition, including verifying compliance, authorizing release, and overseeing the management of all withheld and on-hold product inventory.Oversee investigations and closure of customer complaints and internal non-conformances.Provide operational support to the QC laboratory during night shift (e.g., verifying calibration status, monitoring consumables, ensuring SOP adherence).(c) Quality Systems & RCA Leadership
Lead quality support for strategic initiatives, including New Product Development (NPD), recipe renovations, and large-scale Quality Capital Projects.Monitor, analyze, and present Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) for management review and strategic decision-making.Lead or participate in advanced Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and technical investigations, driving sustainable preventive solutions across the site.(d) Coaching & Team Development
Develop and coach QA Officers to strengthen technical competence, problem-solving capability, and ownership of quality systems.Act as a Food Safety & Quality Culture Champion and influencer by driving awareness, positive behaviors, and team engagement towards building a proactive quality mindset across operations.Support functional training and cross-functional workshops to enhance collaboration and alignment with quality and food safety standards.Foster cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to enhance overall site capability and continuous improvement culture.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or Food Engineering with 5–7 years of progressive Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing. Strong exposure to process control, validation, and food safety systems in a high-volume production environment is essential. Experience in thermal processing, retort operations, or process validation for heat-treated foods is highly preferred.Deep understanding of FSSC 22000, GMP, GLP, HACCP, and quality assurance principles, with proven capability in process validation, critical control management, and deviation handling. Able to interpret process data and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated ability to lead technical investigations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and make independent, risk-based decisions during off-shift operations. Exercises good judgment in determining when to elevate complex or cross-functional issues to the Quality Operations Manager.Experienced in coaching and developing QA Officers, building technical capability, and influencing cross-functional partners (Production, Engineering, R&D) to drive operational ownership of food safety and quality.Analytical, proactive, and vocal leader with strong organizational, influencing, and communication skills.
