Job Description

Buyer – responsible for selecting assortments, managing brand relationships, driving sales performance and ensuring on‑time delivery of stocks across sports categories.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and select compelling assortments within assigned categories / activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners.
• Track sales performance and proactively address under‑performing products through markdowns, promotions or daily business.
• Monitor on‑time delivery of stocks from suppliers.
• Track weekly trade performance and stock health; meet sell‑through targets by category and brand.
• Identify white space opportunities and drive product innovation.
• Negotiate cost prices, margin improvements, trading terms and exclusivity opportunities with brand partners.
• Create codes, issue purchase orders and update delivery plans to keep systems up to date.
• Sourcing for potential brand or supplier, evaluate and propose for the business.
• Participate in seasonal sell‑in and buying appointments with suppliers and brands.
• Monitor industry trends and market developments to keep assortments relevant and competitive.
• Partner with Visual Merchandising, E‑commerce, Marketing and Planning teams to align across channels.
• Work closely with Store Operations to understand customer feedback and regional needs.
• Perform any other lawful assignments as directed by HR & management.
