Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Digital Workplace / Deskside IT Support Team Lead to oversee IT operations and lead a team of engineers providing 24 / 7 deskside IT support in a fast-paced plant environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a senior IT professional with strong infrastructure expertise, the ability to manage rotational support teams, and proven experience in Digital Workplace, Networking, Cyber Security, Compute & Storage.
The ideal candidate is both a technical subject matter expert (SME) and a people leader, ensuring smooth IT operations, successful execution of digital initiatives, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Job Responsibilities
1. Technical & Operational Leadership
- Act as SME for IT operations, covering infrastructure, networking, servers, endpoints, and system uptime.
- Oversee system availability, performance, and security, resolving escalated issues promptly.
- Monitor IT infrastructure health and lead proactive maintenance, patching, and upgrades.
- Drive IT support improvements, aligning with digital transformation and modernization goals.
- Lead and execute modernization initiatives and separation projects end-to-end.
- Champion the Flight Deck framework and inspire the team to adopt best practices in site DT operations.
2. Team & Shift Management
Lead and supervise a 3-shift rotation team of IT Support Engineers and Technicians.Develop and maintain shift rosters to ensure round-the-clock IT support.Act as primary escalation point during major incidents, ensuring timely recovery and communications.Provide coaching, performance reviews, and clear guidance to the support team.Balance team capacity against business growth, project demands, and service levels.3. Project Oversight & Coordination
Manage and deliver Digital Technology (DT) projects within scope, time, and budget.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure seamless project execution.Align IT deliverables with business requirements while minimizing operational disruptions.Who can apply ?
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.10+ years in IT operations with at least 4 years in a supervisory / lead role.Strong expertise in infrastructure, networking, system administration, and end-user support.Proven leadership in managing IT teams in multi-shift environments.Project coordination and vendor management experience.Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Certifications (preferred) : ITIL, CCNA, Microsoft / VMware (advantageous).Working Conditions
