Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Product Development to join our organization. The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Product Management and play a key role in shaping, innovating, and managing our suite of investment and wealth management solutions. The role is ideal for candidates from banking, wealth management, fund management, or asset management backgrounds who possess strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills. Responsibilities include conducting market research, developing new investment and insurance-linked solutions, managing product governance, and leading product training and communication to ensure effective positioning across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and enhance investment products aligned with client needs, market opportunities, and business goals.
- Identify product gaps and develop solutions across unit trust funds, discretionary portfolios, and insurance investment-related products.
- Collaborate with BOS-ISG, BOS-CIO Office, IUTAs, and Insurance Partners to co‑develop and launch differentiated offerings.
- Review and refine existing products to maintain competitiveness and investor appeal.
Research & Market Analysis
Conduct market research, peer benchmarking, and trend analysis to identify new product opportunities.Analyse product performance, investor behaviour, and competitor positioning to support product enhancement.Prepare data‑driven insights and product papers for management committee, investment and product committee, and provide recommendations.Governance & Reporting
Manage product governance processes, documentation, and approval workflows in line with regulatory and internal requirements.Track and report product performance, profitability, and business contribution.Ensure compliance with internal control standards and support audit readiness.Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Work closely with Investment, Sales, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Insurance partners to ensure seamless product execution.Act as the central liaison between product decision‑makers, distribution teams, and clients—articulating product value propositions clearly.Support client discussions and presentations to enhance product awareness and adoption.Product Training & Coaching
Lead product training sessions, workshops, and updates for relationship managers, investment advisors, and client‑facing teams.Build product knowledge, confidence, and consistency across the front office through structured coaching and learning initiatives.Develop concise product guides, talking points, and training materials to strengthen client engagement effectiveness.Education Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or its equivalent.Work Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ working experience in financial services industry, preferably in banking, wealth management, fund management, or asset management.Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.Strong knowledge of unit trust funds, discretionary portfolio management, and insurance investment‑related products.Strong communication ability—able to simplify complex investment concepts for varied audiences.Proven stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.Proactive, resourceful, and detail‑oriented with a passion for innovation and delivering value to investors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
