Overview
Responsible for selecting and maintaining best material combinations to maximize quality and optimize manufacturing cost and efficiency. Analyze data and use all available resources to maintain product performance and meet quality objectives.
Primarily focused on supporting manufacturing processes, equipment qualification, MES administration, and collaboration with engineering, operations, customers, and suppliers to achieve quality and productivity goals.
Responsibilities
- Select and maintain material combinations to maximize product quality while optimizing manufacturing cost and efficiency.
- Analyze data and utilize available resources to sustain product performance and meet quality objectives.
- Recommend manufacturing line equipment and fixtures based on product process flow and time standards analysis studies.
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to augment equipment qualification activities for new products and legacy equipment to increase productivity and enhance quality.
- Maintain, implement, and administer manufacturing execution system software (MES).
- Create and change manufacturing, assembly, and operation sequence (OMS) instructions for assembly processes and MES software.
- Maintain, monitor statistics, and perform detailed failure analysis of failed equipment (production and RMA).
- Collaborate with engineering, sales / customer support, technicians, and customers to perform detailed failure analysis and corrective action reports and activities.
- Coordinate with customers, outside contractors, and vendors to accomplish manufacturing and operations project objectives such as Build Verification and witness builds for new products or improvements of existing equipment.
- Work closely with design engineering to document and resolve issues discovered during new product introduction and product release scale-up phases.
- Assist with ongoing development of factory acceptance criteria and methods for product final testing, qualification, and quality inspection.
- Develop machine and product measurement methods to ensure product quality and performance.
- Engage in quality, 6S lean, and cross-departmental projects and related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Mechanical and / or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience required.Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial engineering role including process development, quality control / quality assurance, production, and testing.Factory floor and manufacturing line experience preferred.Related experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and / or contract manufacturing is required.Specific experience in robot assembly, manufacturing, and testing is a plus.Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) software is desirable.Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint.Project management experience using Microsoft Project or similar Gantt charts is a plus.Ability to work with cross-functional teams simultaneously on multiple projects.Experience with continuous improvement, SPC methodologies, and data tools is desirable.Knowledge or certification of Six Sigma, 6S, and lean methodologies and practices is desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Intermediate : Level I with 2-5 years of experience, including internship as a Manufacturing Engineer.Benefits
