About the Role
The Head of Bid Management is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire bid life cycle within the enterprise group. This role involves developing winning bid strategies , leading cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality submissions, and driving continuous process improvement to increase the win-rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the complete bid process, including developing strategic bid approaches and leading multidisciplinary bid teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams (including Sales, Technical Presales, Project Delivery, etc.), providing direction and managing outputs throughout the bid lifecycle.
- Identify bid opportunities, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, conduct thorough reviews of Request for Proposal (RFP) and bid documents, manage necessary approvals and budgets, and perform post-bid analysis.
- Secure stakeholder support and commitment for proposed solutions and services.
- Seek management guidance or decisions concerning proposals, deviations, compliance issues, and risks based on the appropriate Limits of Authority (LOA).
- Manage the Bid team to effectively handle the preparation and submission of multiple bids concurrently.
- Champion and drive best practices from the customer RFP-to-proposal-to-order stages across the organization, promoting innovative and professional execution.
- Lead regular operational performance review meetings to provide feedback and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Ensure 100% complete and on-time submission with zero disqualifications.
- Aim to deliver end-to-end complex bid proposals efficiently (e.g., in less than 5 days) and develop high-quality templates and content for greater professionalism.
Requirements
Experience in Bid Management : A minimum of 3 years and a maximum of 10 years of professional experience in Bid Management or a directly relevant job scope.Leadership Experience : At least 3 years of experience as a people manager.Expertise : Demonstrated strong expertise and knowledge in bid management handling and processes.Proven Track Record : Proven track record in strategically leading a team.Domain Knowledge : Understanding of enterprise business dynamics (non-consumer side) is essential.Strategic Skills : Strong leadership capabilities and strategic thinking in bid management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
