We are looking for a Claims Executive (Motor TPBI) to manage third-party bodily injury claims, ensuring fair and timely settlements in line with company policies and regulations. You will handle the full claims process, liaise with solicitors and adjusters, and support continuous improvement through data analysis and innovation projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and prior experience in motor claims within the insurance industry.
- Provides quality (prompt & fair) claim service to Customer Satisfaction.
- Compliance of all claims processes, procedures, policies, and guideline as stipulated in Claim Manual and / or Instructions.
- Approve of claims assessments, adjustments & payments within given mandate & in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Confirm cover for S96 letter and request documents from TP solicitor
- Appoint adjuster for further investigation on the circumstances of the accident. (complicated / suspicious cases
- Make a direct settlement with a third party if no lawyer on record.
- Liaise with our solicitor / TP solicitor and negotiating with the TP solicitor / our solicitor for mandate / offer
- Appoint solicitor for the case cannot make a direct settlement with third party lawyer.
- Checking / verification of documentation, assessment of claim and providing recommendation for settlement.
- Conduct review (periodic review when necessary) & to manage ageing claims at minimum level.
- Review and manage the performance of the service providers & deliverables (adjuster & solicitor) to ensure company's interest is safe guarded.
- To identify and evaluate emerging trends, technologies and industry best practices to champion innovative solutions and projects that align with claims to continuously improve and streamline the claim processes.
- Work closely with the innovation team and to be the motor claims representative for upcoming projects.
- Attends communication meetings and any other meetings where relevant.
- Support the department by undertaking the reporting role in monthly report preparation and data analytics.
- Support the department in ad-hoc reporting and handling enquires from BNM, PIAM, Internal & External Audit and management.
- Performs any other duties which may be assigned from time to time by the superior.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.At least 2 years of experience as a Claims Executive, with prior exposure to the insurance industry (motor claims experience preferred).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and resolve issues constructively.Proficient in both written and spoken English.Competent in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis and reporting is an added advantage.
