Assistant Manager, Information Technology (IT)

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Head of Retail Management, in managing internal IT teams and external vendors to support daily IT operations (company wide), including servers, networks, POS systems, ERP platforms, surveillance systems, data integration process (ELT – Extract, Load, Transform) and payment gateways.
Administer and maintain software and hardware systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across all outlets and corporate offices.
Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Power BI, delivering actionable insights to management for data-driven decision-making.
Work closely with IT service providers and Power BI vendors to ensure seamless integration, efficient data flow, and timely support for business analytics and system operations.
Evaluate the company’s IT infrastructure and identify opportunities for strategic improvement to enhance productivity, control, and customer service efficiency.
Coordinate IT project phases from planning to execution, acting as a liaison between end-users, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery and smooth implementation.
Manage financial aspects of IT operations, including budgeting, cost analysis, vendor evaluation, and procurement, ensuring optimal cost efficiency and resource utilization.
Design, implement, and enforce IT systems, policies, and procedures in alignment with corporate standards and compliance requirements.
Ensure data security, access control, backup integrity, and network reliability across all business units.
Conduct periodic audits of IT assets, systems, and vendors to ensure governance, accountability, and policy adherence.
Participate in system integration projects with external partners and suppliers to improve operational connectivity and efficiency.
Provide internal IT education and user training to enhance system literacy and promote best practices among staff.
Ensure compliance with software licensing, cybersecurity standards, and applicable IT legal regulations.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
Perform ad hoc projects or tasks as assigned by the IT Manager or management team.
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science or related field.
Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience, including at least 5 years in retail systems administration or multi chain operations.
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint will be added advantage.
Proven experience in managing ERP, POS, Data Integration (ELT - Extract, Load & Transform) and data analytics systems within a retail or F&B environment.
Excellent coordination skills with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless IT operations and support.
