Account Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team to manage the financial aspects of the business. We have outsourced the book-keeping & accounting functions to an external service provider. This full-time role will liaise & co-ordinate between retail operations, head office & the accounting service provider.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the accounting service provider to ensure all documents are submitted to them on a timely basis for processing, including daily sales reports, suppliers’ invoices, monthly payroll reports, etc.
• Reconcile bank deposits & receipts from credit card & other e-wallet modes to the bank statement.
• Ensure suppliers’ invoices are valid, prepare payment vouchers & process payments to suppliers.
• Prepare simple financial analysis such as sales & margin reports by product, costs analysis, etc.
• Assist with queries & resolve issues e.g. applying for licences & interactions with statutory bodies.
