About the role

This full-time Tax Associate position at Cheng & Co Taxation SDN BHD' in Batu Pahat District, Johor offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice and compliance services, playing a key role in the company's overall financial strategy and success.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and filing accurate tax returns and supporting documentation for individual and corporate clients
  • Conducting tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings and mitigation strategies
  • Advising clients on tax planning, compliance, and minimisation opportunities
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure seamless integration of tax-related activities
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations
  • Providing high-quality customer service and building strong relationships with clients

What we're looking for

  • Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance, with a professional tax qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or CTIM)
  • Having experience in a professional services firm or corporate environment will be Added advantage . Freshies are also welcome to apply.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients
  • Proficient in the use of tax software and MS Office suite
