Procurement cum Logistic Executive

Responsibilities

• Prepare RFQ with detail technical requirements.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Work with production planning to align material procurement with production demand and maintaining a healthy inventory.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials (copper conductor, PVC compound, insulation materials, packaging and others).
• Manage procurement of machinery spare parts, tools, and MRO items for production and facility maintenance.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost competitiveness, better payment terms, reliable delivery schedules and other terms and conditions.
• Conduct supplier comparisons (price, lead time, payment terms, quality, service, other terms and conditions) and prepare detailed reports for management approval.
• Work closely with Production, R&D, and Quality teams to ensure materials meet technical and quality specifications.
• Coordinate the import / export of equipment, raw materials and finish goods. Prepare all necessary documentation and liaising with freight forwarders.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain an updated Approved Vendor List (AVL).
• Prepare weekly procurement progress reports to update management on status, risks, and cost implications.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company SOPs, ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF and audit requirements.
• Develop cost savings initiatives by identifying alternative suppliers, new materials, value engineering, design for manufacturing.
• Attend to quality issues, handle non-conformance and follow up on corrective / preventive actions.
• Conduct Supplier Quality Audit and perform reviews (quality, delivery, cost, service).
• Initiate Supplier Performance Improvement Program.
• Carry out Supplier Quarterly Review.
