MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

Product Design & Development :

  • Involve and Support in Design, prototype, and test new products or improvements to existing products.
  • Verify 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure product designs meet technical, aesthetic, and usability requirements.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams :

  • Work closely with product / design team, marketing, and sales teams to understand market needs and define product specifications.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure efficient production and delivery of products.
  • Partner with quality assurance teams to develop test protocols and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

    • Prototyping & Testing :

  • Build prototypes and run product tests to ensure the design is functional, durable, and cost-effective.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshooting issues, and refine product designs as necessary.
  • Conduct failure analysis and provide solutions to design flaws.

    • Product Optimization :

  • Continuously work on improving product designs based on user feedback, performance metrics, and production insights.
  • Optimize products for manufacturing efficiency, cost, and scalability.
  • Evaluate product performance, recommend improvements, and implement changes.

    • Documentation & Reporting :

  • Prepare detailed product documentation including specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
  • Maintain product revision control and document changes in product designs and engineering decisions.
  • Create reports on product testing, manufacturing issues, and product performance.

    • Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance :

  • Ensure all products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet high standards of durability and performance.

    • Cost Management :

  • Assist in developing cost estimates and managing product budgets throughout the design and development stages.
  • Work with sourcing teams to identify cost-effective materials and manufacturing processes.

    • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electronic Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

    • Experience :

    2-5 years of experience in product design, engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
  • Familiarity with prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing processes.

    • Knowledge of materials science and manufacturing techniques.

    Skills :

    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the industry.
  • Certifications : Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications are a plus.

    • WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities or laboratories.
  • Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, supplier visits, or production facility tours.
