Broadcast IT Deployment and Support Engineer (m / f / d) at RIEDEL Communications. Our Product Division develops, produces and distributes audio, video, IT and communication solutions for live production tools across media, sports, entertainment and corporate industries. Responsibilities
Execute remote deployment and configuration of client’s (backend) systems, adhering to company standards and protocols Monitor and troubleshoot backend infrastructure to minimize downtime and maintain service quality Provide first and second-level technical support to resolve incidents or escalate complex issues as needed Conduct routine test and wracking activities to verify system readiness and performance Collaborate with the global Customer Success / Technical Services team to address cross-regional technical challenges Document and maintain records of system configurations, incidents, and resolutions for future reference Proactively identify areas for process improvement and automation to enhance operational efficiency Stay up to date with emerging technologies and backend best practices to ensure system robustness Qualifications
Completed (Bachelor) studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or a comparable qualification 3+ years of experience in backend IT engineering or a similar role, ideally in broadcast or communications technology Proficiency in backend technologies such as servers, databases, APIs, and networking protocols Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server environments Familiarity with virtualization tools and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, VMware) Working knowledge of : enterprise networking and deployment environments, complex network routing and firewall concepts, virtualization concepts (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox / KVM), DNS (including Split-DNS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), HashiCorp Nomad & Consul User Directory Services (Active Directory) Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work rotating shifts to provide 24 / 7 support, and to travel Fluent in English (written and spoken); other languages are advantageous Authorized to work legally in Malaysia We offer
