Key Responsibilities :

  • System Operation & Monitoring : Monitor and manage data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices. Continuously monitor system performance, identifying and addressing any issues or anomalies promptly.
  • Batch Processing : Ensure the completion of all scheduled jobs and tasks accurately and on time at all regional locations.
  • Backup and Recovery : Backup and restore monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution : Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT personnel or vendors when necessary. Document issues and resolutions for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades : Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as backups, patches, and updates, across the region. Assist with the implementation of system upgrades and new technologies. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards for all systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system operations, procedures, and configurations for all regional locations. Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, issues, and activities. Ensure adherence to documented operational procedures across the region.
  • Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with other regional and global IT team members to support and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on system status and any issues that may impact operations. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IT strategies and initiatives.
  • Any other duties when deemed necessary. Completing projects on various issues when needed.
  • Cloud Management : Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure. Implement and manage cloud security measures to protect data and systems.
  • Automation : Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Global Collaboration : Work with global teams to manage and deliver globally managed services. Coordinate with global teams to ensure alignment and consistency in service delivery.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in computer operations or a similar role.

    • Must have Skill Sets :

  • Experience in batch processing and monitoring
  • Backup management and monitoring (Veeam, Commvault or Avamar backup software)
  • Infrastructure background knowledge on server monitoring ( 1 to 3 years)

    • Soft Skill Sets :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • The position may involve physical tasks such as lifting and installing hardware, requiring the ability to handle equipment safely.

    • Nice to have Skill Sets :

  • Data Centre management and monitoring.
  • Disaster recovery support
  • Knowledge on middleware would be plus.

    • Additional Details :

  • This role may require on-call availability, working outside regular hours to resolve critical issues or perform scheduled maintenance and working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24x7 system operations. This role will be supporting Philippines and required to work on shift hours.

    • Job Type : Contract

    Contract length : 12 months

    Pay : Up to RM7,000.00 per month
