JavaScript & API Senior Developer, APAC

Overview

Be part of a team building a new end-to-end Zurich Edge digital insurance platform to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain. Key Responsibilities

Have a deep understanding of business requirements, and how to best build the web application Microservices : strong knowledge in Node.JS and / or Nest.JS, PostgeSQL, Redis Unit testing (JEST), integration testing and deployments in various environments Interface with other teams for technical details to integrate the web with back-end services Build & unit test reusable components and functions Familiar with, or carry out, CI / CD processes in AWS (e.g. configuration management, daily automated build, unit testing, etc.) Occasional travel may be required Your skills and experience

Microservices : experience in Node.JS and / or Nest.JS, Postgresql and Redis Prior experience in Financial Services or Insurance highly regarded Experience with JEST, JIRA, GitHub, SonarQube is a plus Skills

Problem solving Writing secure, reusable and maintainable code Experience with MVC and other design patterns Passion for new and emerging technologies, and the ability to investigate these in-depth Ability to understand business requirements in detail Diversity, Inclusion & Culture
