Summary / Objective : The Production Manager is a self-motivated contributor responsible for managing operations and processes across multiple work centers, ensuring equipment functions at maximum output to meet demand. They oversee adherence to processes, execute production plans, and ensure products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and with quality. The role includes continuous improvement initiatives and leadership of production teams.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise Production Supervisors, machine operators, and support staff across shifts to meet corporate goals.
• Maintain communication across shifts to ensure alignment with policies and standards.
• Manage product transfers between plants as needed.
• Establish training and cross-training plans to ensure process consistency and workforce flexibility.
• Define and review the Vision, Mission, and Objectives for the Production Department annually.
• Set and monitor KPIs and performance metrics for production.
• Define responsibilities within the department.
• Oversee order management, manufacturing deadlines, and communicate deviations.
• Monitor equipment capacity and utilization to maintain service levels.
• Assist in goal setting and performance evaluations for staff.
• Oversee work schedules, including overtime and leave management.
• Coordinate with Quality Department on corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize ERP / MRP systems for decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to operational standards, plant layout, waste reduction, LEAN manufacturing, and change control.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and be the overall production area owner.
