Costing Accountant (Malaysia)

Role Overview :

The Costing Accountant will play a critical role in analyzing and managing production costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes and cost structures.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain costing models for various cotton knit fabrications
• Analyze raw material, labor, and overhead costs across production stages
• Monitor actual vs. standard costs and investigate variances
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency
• Prepare monthly cost reports , forecasts, and profitability analysis
• Support budgeting and inventory valuation processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Assist in pricing strategies and customer quotations
• Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation
