Job Overview

We are looking for a Head of Shared Business Services (SBS) Center in Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia to join our growing Global Business Services team (900+ employees). This position is responsible for the set‑up and management of the newly opened KL Shared Business Services Center, from strategy definition to service delivery and performance monitoring. The KL SBS Center focuses on delivering high quality support to LDC business in Australia, covering Accounting (Invoice to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report), Commercial (Master Data Management, Contract Lifecycle, Commercial Invoice and Payment Processing, Stock Management, Customer and Vendor Services), and Procurement (Source to Contract and Procure to Pay). The role works closely with the global head of SBS and with regional stakeholders to drive efficiency and service excellence across SBS functions and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage migration of activities from Australia to the SBS Center
  • Act as Business Relationship Manager and single point of contact representing all SBS services for regional stakeholders
  • Accountable for SBS Center performance
  • Identify, organize, prioritize business needs and align SBS services, processes, and organization to meet or exceed business needs
  • Contribute to fit strategy with area / regional priorities
  • Educate business stakeholders about SBS opportunities
  • Drive adoption of SBS services
  • Accountable for SBS Center budget
  • Implement projects within the scope of services delivered by the SBS Center
  • Seek automation and modernization opportunities to achieve efficiency gains and process improvement
  • Identify opportunities for the absorption of activities by the SBS location to add value and optimize costs
  • Promote synergy between SBS locations worldwide, sharing best practices
  • Resolve issues regarding end‑to‑end performance, deviations from project implementation, and non‑compliance with global process, data, technology, and compliance standards within the scope of services delivered
  • Manage, train, and develop the local SBS team

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in SSCs, Global Business Services or Shared Business Services
  • At least 8 years managing multicultural teams directly or indirectly
  • Previous experience in migrating activities to a Shared Business Center is preferred
  • Soft Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Strong problem‑solving, quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills, both upwards and downwards
  • Fluent English is mandatory
