We are seeking passionate, motivated, and research-driven candidates to join our FRGS 2025 project titled : “A New Adaptive Color Cast Removal Algorithm for Varying Illumination Conditions Based on Convolutional Vision Transformer Method.”
Project Duration : 2 years
Monthly Stipend : RM 2,300

About the Project
This research aims to develop an adaptive algorithm that removes color cast to enhance visibility and image quality in computer vision applications such as traffic monitoring, human and vehicle tracking, and video surveillance. By addressing color distortion from varying illumination, the work leverages a hybrid Convolutional Vision Transformer (CvT) to extract global and local features for accurate illumination map estimation based on Retinex theory. The goal is to advance image restoration techniques and enable reliable, high-quality performance in real-world computer vision systems.
