Overview
We\'re hiring a General Manager for Tourism / Attraction. Our client is a Main Board Public-listed Company on Bursa Malaysia in the Utilities sector, operating across three core segments : Energy, Food & Beverage, and Tourism. They are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive the success of a world-class tourist attraction.

Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management : Prepare and manage the annual operating budget and business plan.
- Drive profitability by managing UWL as a profit center, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue.
- Oversee cost control, audits, budget monitoring, and profit & loss analysis.
- Ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and financial reporting requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and professional advisors.
- Marketing & Business Development : Develop and execute strategic marketing and promotional plans.
- Guide the Sales & Marketing team to maximize exposure locally and internationally.
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies to meet targets.
- Build strong networks with local authorities, government agencies, and tourism organizations.
- Operations Management : Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and profitability across all business areas.
- Lead the team to achieve budget targets and operational excellence.
- Implement SOPs, compliance measures, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build positive relationships with the local community and regulatory bodies.
- Human Resources & Leadership : Develop and implement staff training and succession planning.
- Maintain effective communication and foster a positive work environment.
- Lead by example in professionalism, punctuality, and adherence to company policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Tourism Management, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an advantage).Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in tourism, hospitality, or attraction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Strong financial acumen, operational management skills, and business development expertise.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies and tourism partners.How to Apply
