Job Overview
The Senior Chemist / R&D Head (Based in Bentong) will oversee laboratory operations, formulation development, and technical innovation to enhance product performance and ensure high-quality standards in rubber thread manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise latex and chemical quality control labs, ensuring accurate testing and compliance with ISO standards.
- Lead compounding and dispersion processes, optimizing formulations for tensile strength, modulus, and elongation.
- Drive R&D initiatives to develop new product grades and improve cost-efficiency through lab and pilot trials.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to viscosity, gelling time, and surface finish, recommending material improvements.
- Provide technical leadership, training, and documentation while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
