Data Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Build and maintain security-first data pipelines with embedded encryption, access controls, and audit trails to enable secure cross-functional collaboration.

Design and implement data security strategies compliant with CCPA, HIPAA, GDPR, covering the entire data lifecycle (collection, storage, transmission, usage, disposal).

Lead data classification, dynamic masking, and RBAC / ABAC implementation for cloud-native architectures (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).

Monitor data usage via tools like Apache Ranger / AWS Macie, detect anomalies, and mitigate security risks.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

2+ years in data engineering + 1 year in data security, with proficiency in Python / Java / Scala, SQL, and tools like Spark / Flink / Kafka.

Knowledge of US compliance frameworks (NIST Privacy Framework, FedRAMP) and hands-on cloud security experience (AWS IAM / S3 KMS, Azure Purview).

Proven experience in securing data warehouses / lakes (e.g., Snowflake masking, Databricks Unity Catalog).

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certifications : AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP, CompTIA Security+
• Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture in data pipelines
