Tax Analyst (Indirect Tax)

Overview

Tax Analyst (Indirect Tax) role with ACCA Careers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position supports various tax jurisdictions for Europe Region within the Global Finance Controllership Team, focusing on calculation, filing, payment and reconciliation of taxes and related statutory requirements. Responsibilities

Reporting to Tax Lead and collaborating with other Tax Analysts within regional groups for the Europe region. Reviewing and controlling all tax calculations from our various ERPs. Completing the periodic filing of tax returns and other statistical reporting such as EC sales listing, Intrastat, and payment of all taxes (VAT, withholding taxes, etc.). Reconciling balance sheet tax accounts monthly and performing other related duties. Resolving or escalating queries or issues and supporting all tax and statutory audits. Qualifications

Education background in Accounting, Finance, Audit or related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or CA or equivalent are advantageous. Minimum 2 years indirect tax or other tax experience for any tax jurisdiction. Strong analytical skills with proactive mindset and ability to provide expert advice and problem solving. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with strong spoken and written English. Results oriented, self-motivated and able to work solo and remotely. Role and Working Style
