Your Opportunity

Mott MacDonald is currently seeking an experienced professional with experience in Renewable Energy, especially in the fields of Solar, Interconnector & Battery Energy Storage Systems projects. This role is based in

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

• . The Principal Renewable Energy Engineer will be integral to our growing team working on some of the region's most exciting renewable energy projects. In this role, you will manage renewable energy projects, provide specialist engineering and technical advisory inputs, driving towards meaningful outcomes and contributing to a net-zero future.
• Leading the delivery of complex technical advisory and owner's engineer assignments related to renewable and hybrid energy generation in Malaysia and the wider South-East Asia region.
• Champion project development of renewable energy including solar and BESS projects in Malaysia.
• Experience in business development activities with new and existing clients, with the support of Energy Market Leads and Development Managers.
• Serving as technical specialist, attending, contributing to internal and external meetings and site visits.
• Review and prepare comprehensive technical and non-technical reports, including specifications, proposals, designs, calculations, and contracts. Your attention to detail will ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
• Developing and mentoring team members to grow their technical expertise as a line manager.
• Ensure projects are set up and completed according to the Mott MacDonald quality assurance system.
