We are seeking an experienced Linux System Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Linux systems, automation, scripting, troubleshooting, and modern infrastructure practices. You will support mission‑critical systems, ensure reliability and security, and work closely with engineering and operations teams to deliver robust platform services.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, SUSE)
Manage system lifecycle tasks : patching, upgrades, kernel tuning, performance optimization
Monitor system health, logs, and resource utilization

Infrastructure Operations

Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, etc.)

Maintain storage solutions (NFS, iSCSI, LVM, RAID)

Manage backup and recovery processes

Automation & Scripting

Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible

Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure automation

Develop tools to improve system reliability and reduce manual work

Security & Compliance

Manage firewalls, SELinux / AppArmor, certificates, and access controls

Perform vulnerability remediation and patch management

Networking

Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, routing rules

Collaborate with network teams on connectivity and firewall requirements

Maintain clear documentation for systems, procedures, and standards

Support engineers and users with Linux‑related technical issues

Participate in on‑call rotations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience

3–8 years of hands‑on Linux administration experience

Strong knowledge of :

Bash scripting (Python is a plus)

Troubleshooting performance and system issues

Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

Understanding of system hardening and enterprise security practices

Familiarity with Git

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high‑availability production environments

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

Knowledge of containers (Docker / Podman) and Kubernetes

Experience automating CI / CD workflows

Certifications such as RHCSA / RHCE / Linux Foundation

Experience with Atera RMM tool (asset management, automation scripts, monitoring) is a strong plus

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams

Clear communication and documentation ability

Proactive and ownership‑driven mindset
