We are seeking an experienced Linux System Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Linux systems, automation, scripting, troubleshooting, and modern infrastructure practices. You will support mission‑critical systems, ensure reliability and security, and work closely with engineering and operations teams to deliver robust platform services.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, Rocky, Ubuntu, SUSE)
- Manage system lifecycle tasks : patching, upgrades, kernel tuning, performance optimization
- Monitor system health, logs, and resource utilization
Infrastructure Operations
Administer virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, Proxmox, etc.)Maintain storage solutions (NFS, iSCSI, LVM, RAID)Manage backup and recovery processesAutomation & Scripting
Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, or AnsibleBuild and maintain CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure automationDevelop tools to improve system reliability and reduce manual workSecurity & Compliance
Manage firewalls, SELinux / AppArmor, certificates, and access controlsPerform vulnerability remediation and patch managementNetworking
Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSH, routing rulesCollaborate with network teams on connectivity and firewall requirementsMaintain clear documentation for systems, procedures, and standardsSupport engineers and users with Linux‑related technical issuesParticipate in on‑call rotationsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience3–8 years of hands‑on Linux administration experienceStrong knowledge of :Bash scripting (Python is a plus)
Troubleshooting performance and system issuesExperience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)Understanding of system hardening and enterprise security practicesFamiliarity with GitPreferred Qualifications
Experience in high‑availability production environmentsExposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)Knowledge of containers (Docker / Podman) and KubernetesExperience automating CI / CD workflowsCertifications such as RHCSA / RHCE / Linux FoundationExperience with Atera RMM tool (asset management, automation scripts, monitoring) is a strong plusSoft Skills
