Penerangan pekerjaanProven hands-on experience as a Profile Grinder Machinist (tool and die or precision grinding background strongly preferred). Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Strong knowledge of grinding techniques, wheel selection, feeds / speeds, and coolant use. Proficiency in using precision measuring tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Experience with carbide punch and die grinding. Knowledge of surface grinding. Experience with WAIDA profile grinders. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate profile grinding machines to manufacture precision parts according to drawings and specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.
- Select and dress grinding wheels appropriate for the job.
- Work with carbide, tool steel, stainless steel, and other materials.
- Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes.
- Inspect and verify dimensions using micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Troubleshoot grinding issues such as vibration, wheel wear, and dimensional errors.
- Maintain machines and work areas in clean, safe condition.
- Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and machinists to improve processes and ensure quality.
