Profile Grinder Machinist

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate profile grinding machines to manufacture precision parts according to drawings and specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD files.
• Select and dress grinding wheels appropriate for the job.
• Work with carbide, tool steel, stainless steel, and other materials.
• Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes.
• Inspect and verify dimensions using micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments.
• Troubleshoot grinding issues such as vibration, wheel wear, and dimensional errors.
• Maintain machines and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and machinists to improve processes and ensure quality.
