About the role
This role is responsible for ensuring smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of all plant facilities and utilities. The position oversees daily maintenance activities for critical systems including HVAC, air blowers, vacuum pumps, water pumps, exhaust fans, gas mixers, and other plant equipment. The key focus is to prevent production downtime, maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, and support manufacturing operations with uninterrupted facility services.
What you will do
- In charge of the daily facilities plant maintenance, eg, HVAC system, air blower , vacuum pump, water pumps, exhaust fan, gas mixer and other plant facilities equipments.
- Standby for any major electrical breakdown
- Reinstate the supply of all facilities services back to normal function
- Trouble shoot all facilities plants machineries
- Ownership assignment of facilities plant machineries
- Supervise all contractor work to ensure all safety procedure is follow
- Supervise all projects related to facilities to ensure works done according to specification and schedule.
- To support manufacturing in all facilities function.
- To act as an implementer for all EHS related function.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PM and cost saving activities.
- To ensure non - interruption of utilities or facilities equipment in meeting total customer satisfaction and need of the whole plant.
- To work effectively as a team with the shift Technician and all facilities staff members.
- To be proactive in their shift routine work and be self empowered to attend to crisis and make decisions.
- To ensure non - interruption of utilities and breakdown of support equipment affecting manufacturing lines.
- To implement and execute energy saving projects effectively and timely.
- Take corrective actions on facilities equipment breakdown, support system, electrical system, PA system, Clock system etc.
- Ensure standby gen - sets are checked fortnightly and service.
- Inspect on a daily routine basis all HT transformers, switchboards, distribution panels and exhausts system are operating satisfactorily.
- Fire fighting diesel sets are checked weekly and serviced quarterly.
- Log down abnormalities and daily work carried out by E mail and noted down meter readings into equipments checklists.
- Ensure fire alarm panels, standby gen - sets, fire fighting diesel engines, plant support equipment are in good operating condition.
- Test run standby gen set weekly.
- Test run fire sprinkler and hose reel pump weekly.
- Order gases from supplier when necessary.
- Change over facilities high power consumption equipments during off peak hour.
- Coordinate plant shut down activities
- Manage chargeman team to meet KPI set by facility Department and routine maintenance activities.
- Prepare incident report.
- Update SOP and procedure.
- Maintain documentation and single line diagram.
- Generate weekly report to Operation Manager.
What you will need
Chargeman Certificate BO 33KV recognized by Suruhan Jaya TenagaMinimum 5 years experience in similar capacity in the manufacturing industry.Ready to work on-call basis.Conversant in electrical act pertaining to area of responsibilityKnowledge in Plant Room Utilities, Industrial Engineering, Savings Project and Environment Health and Safety management system would be added advantage .Talent acquisition based on Nexperia vacancies is not appreciated.
