Our Client :

We are partnering with a local based company that specializes in HVAC Engineering Services. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Senior QS / Estimator as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility :

Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects (residential, commercial, or industrial).
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine scope and costing.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to develop pricing strategies.
Conduct site visits when necessary to understand project requirements.
Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Assist in tender submissions, including compiling documentation and ensuring timely delivery.
Evaluate and manage risk and opportunities in estimates.
Maintain a database of cost information and historical project data for future reference.

Requirements :

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating within the HVAC or M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) industry.

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and construction methods.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD is a plus).

Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
