About the role

As a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) at Rentasil Sdn Bhd (Bintang Kejora Sdn Bhd) , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance at our construction sites in Tuaran, Sabah. This full-time position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety among our workforce.

What you'll be doing

Conducting daily site inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards
Developing and implementing site-specific safety plans and procedures
Providing on-site safety training and toolbox talks to educate workers on safe practices
Investigating and reporting on incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and preventive measures
Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety activities
Collaborating with project managers and other site personnel to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of construction operations

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry

Thorough understanding of local and national health, safety and environmental regulations

Proficient in conducting risk assessments, developing safety plans, and implementing effective safety programs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with workers at all levels

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address safety concerns in a timely manner

Strong organisational and record-keeping skills

Certification in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) or a related field would be an advantage
