Executive Technical Services Engineer, Engines & Propellers

Manager, Technical Services
Position Summary
Provide engineering development and service engineering support for powerplants (engines / APUs) and major components (thrust reversers and propellers) under relevant ATA Chapters, ensuring operational reliability, compliance, and efficient maintenance planning.
Key Accountability
- Provide engineering development and service engineering support in the field of aircraft structures and landing gear under ATA Chapters 11, 32, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 and 57 for the MW aircraft fleet.
- Conduct studies and implement resolutions to technical issues to enhance aircraft technical dispatch Provide engineering and service support for power plants (engines / APUs) and major components (thrust reversers and propellers) under ATA Chapters 32, 49, 60, 61, and 70–80 for the MW fleet.
- Prepare technical instructions, specifications, and reports for assigned components to support modifications, repairs, and updates.
- Perform other engine-related or technical duties as assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager, Technical Services.
- Evaluate service bulletins and modification documents to improve reliability of engines, APUs, and major components.
- Ensure personnel skills, training, and procedures meet current regulatory and operational requirements.
- Recommend and implement modifications, equipment changes, and maintenance or operational policy updates.
- Verify incorporation and implementation of approved modification bulletins in accordance with company standards.
- Liaise with vendors, airlines, authorities, overhaul agencies, and internal teams on technical matters.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions arising from audits and compliance monitoring.
- Coordinate department input and respond promptly to issues raised in daily Engineering Operations Meetings.
- Evaluate Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for operational and regulatory impact.
- Ensure timely resolution of long-standing defects in engines, APUs, and related components.
- Conduct reliability studies on components, PIREPs, and MAREPs to monitor OTP, fleet reliability, and safety trends, initiating corrective action where necessary.
- Provide continuous technical support to operations and production.
Qualification & Working Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical / Aircraft / Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 2 – 4 years experience.Strong understanding of aircraft powerplants systems, including engines, propellers, engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM), and repair methods.Effective communication, both written and verbal, is crucial for collaborating with other CAMO stakeholders, OEMs and Engineering team such as Base / Line Maintenance.Familiarity with aviation regulations and requirements related to aircraft engines and propellers.Authority
Authorized to undertake technical evaluations, prepare instructions, and liaise with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
