    Key Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in guiding students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with daily classroom routines and lesson activities.
  • Observe students’ needs and provide support in consultation with the teacher.
  • Prepare learning resources and display students’ work.
  • Maintain a conducive and safe classroom environment.
  • Enforce school and classroom rules to promote positive behaviour.
  • Supervise students during lessons, breaks, lunch, after‑school care, and dismissal.
  • Provide regular feedback to the teacher on students’ progress and behaviour.
  • Step in for the class teacher during short absences when required.
  • Line Management

    The Assistant Teacher will report to the Head of Primary.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, bachelor’s degree in education or any other relevant fields.
  • Qualified teaching certification and experience in primary / elementary education.
  • Experience and Skills

  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to engage and motivate young students.
