Benefits & Payroll Support Specialist

RCR Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Benefits & Payroll Support Specialist to provide high-quality administrative and operational support to our virtual HR consulting team. This role will focus on payroll processing, auditing client accounts, and assisting with benefits administration for multiple clients across diverse industries. The position is fully remote and you can reside in any geographic location but you must be able to work during standard U.S. business hours.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, fully remote environment while maintaining excellent communication with both internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Processing

• Support the HR consulting team in processing weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls for multiple client organizations
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee hours, deductions, and tax withholdings
• Verify payroll data and resolve discrepancies in coordination with clients and payroll providers
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all payroll‑related regulations

Account Auditing & Reconciliation

Benefits Administration

Administrative Support

Qualifications

Proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, QuickBooks Payroll, Gusto, or similar)

Understanding of U.S. payroll laws, benefits regulations, and compliance requirements

Strong attention to detail and organization
