Overview
Track and monitor raw material purchases, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory. Assist in preparing standard cost calculations and variance analysis (e.g., material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption). Support preparation of product costing reports for pricing, margin analysis, and profitability tracking. Work with the Production and Supply Chain teams to reconcile material usage and stock balances. Prepare and post journal vouchers (e.g., accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll, loan interest, income tax provision, right-of-use adjustments, and others). Ensure timely closing of CICB’s books by preparing reconciliations and supporting schedules. Prepare the Monthly Management Accounts Report (as per Group’s reporting template) with all supporting accounting schedules. Prepare the Executive Management Committee (EMC)’s monthly report (as per Group’s reporting template) for management’s presentation to the Executive Committee (EXCO) during the monthly EMC meeting. Coordinate with relevant parties for required information and supporting documents to support the Risk Management and ESG Committee of the Company. Provide data and schedules to Senior Finance Manager for management and financial reporting. Perform bank reconciliations, petty cash reconciliations, major receivables and payables reconciliations, and intercompany balances. Reconcile inventory balances and ensure alignment with physical counts. Maintain proper supporting documents for all transactions in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Liaise with the tax agent in the preparation and filing of tax computation and CP204 / CP204A submissions. Ensure timely submission of statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, PCB). Maintain proper filing of accounting documents for statutory and audit purposes. Prepare yearly and half-yearly revised financial budget (as per Group’s reporting template). Assist in preparing variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts. Provide input and data for scenario analysis to support decision-making. Assist in the coordination of the audit exercise of the Company, both internal and external audit. Ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with accounting standards. Prepare annual audited financial statements in compliance with the latest MFRS standards and Group’s accounting policies. Draft and update the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in consistent with the Group’s Policies. Treasury management, such as optimization of the Company’s cashflows and dealing with the corporate bankers for the new financing. Accurate and timely posting of all accounting transactions. Reconciliation schedules for banks, payables, receivables, inventory, and intercompany balances. Manufacturing cost and variance reports for Finance Manager and Senior Finance Manager’s review. Monthly Management Accounts and EMC Reports with complete supporting schedules. Tax and statutory compliance submissions.
