About the role

Sri Tanjung Medicare (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant / Paramedic to join our healthcare team in Penang. As a full‑time Medical Assistant / Paramedic, you will play a crucial role in providing high‑quality medical support and care to our patients.

Patient care and emergency response

Respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls.
Provide basic medical assistance like CPR, wound dressing, and pain management.
Control severe bleeding and treat wounds or fractures.
Assist with spinal injury patients.
Operate defibrillators and other life support equipment.
Administer medication and treatments according to procedures and within their scope of practice.
Monitor patient health status during transport.
Assess health status in emergency situations and determine immediate medical needs.

Equipment and ambulance maintenance

Ensure the ambulance and its medical equipment are clean, functional, and in a state of readiness.

Check that medical supplies are stocked and available.

Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the ambulance and base.

Documentation and administration

Record patient details, treatments, and ambulance movements.

Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all procedures and patient care.

Report to supervisors and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and protocols.

Maintain good relationships with external parties like event organizers.

Other duties

Work with paramedics and other emergency teams.

Transport patients safely to and from medical facilities.

Stay up‑to‑date with clinical skills, procedures, and training.

May be required to work shifts on‑call.
