Role Summary :
The Special Officer will act as a
confidential aide, strategic coordinator, and trusted point of contact
for the Executive Chairman & President (ECP). This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of
corporate leadership and national-level sports governance
, requiring exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and interpersonal effectiveness.
You will be responsible for supporting the ECP's day-to-day engagements, handling sensitive correspondence, coordinating high-level meetings, and ensuring seamless execution of both corporate and sports-related responsibilities. The role demands a
high degree of professionalism, agility, and service mindset
Key Responsibilities :
1. Executive Support & Coordination
- Work closely with the ECP's Personal Assistant to ensure his business and sports engagements are well-coordinated and prioritised.
- Ensure the ECP is fully briefed and prepared ahead of meetings and public appearances.
- Track key follow-ups, decisions, and deliverables across all engagements.
2. Strategic Liaison & Communication
Serve as liaison between the ECP's office and internal / external stakeholders including senior executives, government agencies, sports federations, and the media.Draft, review, and manage official communications, letters, emails, and public statements on behalf of the ECP.Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.3. Sports & External Affairs Support
Support the ECP's national-level responsibilities as :President of a major sporting councilHonorary Life President of a major sports associationCoordinate with relevant national and international sports bodies, event organisers, and press relations teams.Assist with planning and logistics for local and overseas sports events, athlete engagements, and ceremonial functions.4. Office Operations & Representation
Represent the ECP at internal and external events when delegated.Manage day-to-day requests and ensure efficient coordination between ECP's corporate and sports-related priorities.Monitor and follow through on action items, ensuring timely execution.Required Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Political Science, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.5–10 years of relevant experience supporting C-level executives, government officials, or senior figures in sports or corporate organisations.Experience working with government agencies, national associations, or GLCs is an advantage.Familiarity with Malaysia's sports ecosystem, protocol, and public administration is highly desirable.Skills & Competencies :
High integrity, emotional intelligence, and discretionStrong verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin an advantage)Able to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities in a high-pressure environmentExceptional organisational and coordination skillsStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skillsComfortable in both corporate and protocol-heavy environmentsWorking Conditions :
