LEAD, RISK STRUCTURING & PRODUCT ASSURANCE
The Lead, Risk Structuring & Product Assurance establishes and leads CGC Digital’s internal product-risk discipline — ensuring every derisking product, guarantee, or investment structure is prudently designed, risk‑vetted, and validated for pricing soundness, aligned with the company’s capital adequacy and risk appetite.
This role acts as the custodian of product safety and capital integrity , linking innovation with prudence. Drawing from practices in credit, insurance, and reinsurance risk management , the Lead designs frameworks that ensure every guarantee or capital instrument is appropriately priced, capitalized, and monitored.
Working closely with other relevant divisions, the Lead also anchors CGC Digital’s Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) , equivalent to the insurance Risk‑Based Capital (RBC) process, ensuring sound capital utilization and resilience.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain CGC Digital’s Product Risk & Pricing Framework, covering structure, eligibility, risk acceptance, and exposure limits.
Review and validate all new derisking product proposals, term sheets, and risk‑sharing arrangements (e.g., guarantee‑linked investments, co‑risk tranches).
Conduct product risk review to ensure new instruments undergo structured risk vetting before launch.
Align product governance with both credit and insurance‑based risk standards, emphasizing capital sufficiency and recovery logic.
Review and validate pricing methodologies developed by Product / Strategy teams, ensuring alignment with expected‑loss, cost‑of‑capital, and target return frameworks.
Own CGC Digital’s ICAAP methodology and workbook (aligned with RBC principles) to calculate risk capital, perform sensitivity analyses, and ensure prudential buffers.
Collaborate with Finance and StrategicOps to align capital utilization with product growth strategies.
Apply actuarial and credit‑pricing techniques to ensure sustainability across product portfolios.
Maintain the Product Risk Register and monitor product performance against approved assumptions (utilization, delinquency, loss ratio, recoveries).
Generate periodic product‑risk dashboards and capital adequacy reports for management review.
Coordinate with product team to integrate real performance data into pricing and capital models.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with Corporate Services & Growth Principal to ensure capital planning aligns with ICAAP / RBC outcomes.
Represent CGC Digital in discussions on risk‑transfer innovation, blended finance, and derisking frameworks.
Key Requirements & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Risk Management, Economics, or related quantitative field.
More than 8 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance, or credit risk roles involving product pricing, capital modelling, or risk governance.
Proven understanding of expected‑loss or claims modelling, stress testing, and capital adequacy (RBC or ICAAP) frameworks.
Ability to translate analytical results into actionable pricing and governance decisions.
Exposure to guarantee, insurance, or blended‑finance products preferred.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills and strong sense of prudential discipline balanced with innovation.
