QC Laboratory Assistant

Penerangan pekerjaanSPM / Certificate / Diploma in Chemistry, Material Science, or related field Minimum 1–2 years of working experience in a laboratory or quality control environment (fresh graduates may also be considered) Knowledge of cement / raw material testing will be an added advantage Familiar with laboratory equipment and testing procedures Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision Good communication and reporting skills Willing to work in shifts and under production environment
Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting and sampling of raw materials and in-process samples.
- Surface area and whiteness determination of ground white cement / blended cement / tile cement from cement mill (with immediate feedback to cement miller for SA control).
- Free lime determination of clinker & white cement when XRD is out of order.
- Sieve analysis of raw mix, kiln feed, petcoke and ground cement.
- Record all tests results in appropriate files and noting all relevant stoppages and breakdowns.
- To notify immediately to Chemist or Lab supervisor when encounter abnormality during testing.
- To maintain good housekeeping within laboratory.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
